Who We Serve
Investment operations for fund managers, from the first fund to the fifth
A first fund needs institutional operations before it has institutional scale. An established manager needs capacity and independent oversight where the in-house team is stretched. Fundtec provides both, on one platform and one set of controls.
In one minute
Fundtec serves fund managers at every stage. For managers launching a first or second fund, it coordinates the launch through Unefund and provides fund administration, NAV and investor services on its proprietary platform, Tychi, sized for the fund and built to scale. For established managers running several funds with an administrator already in place, it provides shadow accounting, middle-office investment operations inside the manager’s own systems, and managed investment operations that bring our platform and a dedicated team together.
Firms of this type, whether they need full administration, a middle office, or capacity added to an existing team.
A 30-minute scoping call, then a written plan: scope, the transition timeline and indicative pricing. No generic proposal.
30 minutes to From week 9, in 4 gated phases.
Two stages, one operating partner
What a manager needs changes with scale. The team, the platform and the controls do not.
- Instead of Structure, jurisdiction and service providers coordinated through Unefund, instead: Shadow accounting that checks the administrator’s NAV independently
- Instead of Fund administration, NAV and investor services on our platform from the first subscription, instead: Middle office: trade capture, reconciliations, treasury and pricing across funds
- Instead of Small-start routes such as the BVI Incubator Fund explained plainly, instead: A dedicated pod working inside your OMS, accounting and reconciliation systems
- Instead of Investor onboarding, KYC/AML and the register kept to institutional standard, instead: Capacity that scales with AUM and absorbs new mandates without a new contract
- Instead of Operational handbook and controls that survive the first due diligence, instead: Monthly SLA reviews and quarterly business reviews with a partner
How an engagement starts
Scoping call
Your funds, strategies, systems and the gap you want closed. You leave with a written view of scope and indicative pricing.
Design
Chart of accounts, investor register and reporting cadence for a new fund; process mapping and systems access for an existing one.
Parallel run
For a switch or a shadow-accounting mandate, both sets of books run side by side until differences are explained and cleared under maker-checker.
Live
Fundtec signs the first NAV or the pod takes ownership pillar by pillar, with the open-items log shared from day one.

Ask a specialistFrequently asked questions
We are launching our first fund. Where do we start?
With a scoping call. We map the structure, jurisdiction and service providers through Unefund, then set up administration, NAV and investor services on our platform so the first subscription arrives into a fund that is ready for it. See Launch a Fund.
We already have an administrator. What does Fundtec add?
Independent oversight and capacity. Our managed investment operations run shadow accounting on our platform to check the administrator’s NAV each cycle, and an investment operations team can run trade operations, reconciliations and treasury inside your systems; both scale as you add funds without a new contract each time.
Do we have to move onto Fundtec’s platform?
No. When Fundtec is your administrator, your fund runs on our proprietary platform, Tychi, with no per-seat licence passed on. If you keep your own systems, our pod works inside them. Same team, same controls, same standard.
How is the engagement priced?
Administration is priced to the fund; managed investment operations are priced to AUM rather than headcount, so capacity grows with the funds. Every scoping call ends with indicative pricing in writing.
