Technology · our proprietary platform

One ledger. AI that prepares the work. People who sign it.

Our proprietary platform, Tychi, runs the full investment operations cycle on one set of books. AI reads, matches and flags; our accountants investigate, decide and release.

In one minute

What

Fundtec runs investment operations on its own platform, Tychi. Data from brokers, banks, administrators and investors lands in one double-entry ledger per fund, where reconciliations, accruals, the NAV pack and the investor portal all draw on the same records. AI reads documents, matches cash, positions and trades, and flags exceptions; Fundtec’s accountants review and approve every material output under maker-checker. The platform is delivered with Fundtec’s services, not sold as separate software, under ISO 27001-certified information security, with SOC 1 and SOC 2 attestations in progress.

Who it’s for

Managers who want administration on a platform built for it, with no per-seat licence passed on.

What happens first

A 30-minute scoping call, then a written plan: scope, the transition timeline and indicative pricing. No generic proposal.

One NAV cycle, start to finish

What happens on our platform between the first statement of the day and the signed NAV pack.

  1. Every source in

Trades, positions, cash, prices and investor activity arrive by API, SFTP, spreadsheet or PDF. PDF-only statements are read and validated, not rekeyed.

  2. One ledger per fund

Every transaction posts balanced journal entries against the fund’s chart of accounts, with a traceable source.

  3. Reconciled against the ledger

Cash, position and three-way reconciliations run inside the platform. Breaks are assigned, aged and explained.

  4. Fees and accruals post themselves

Management and performance fees, interest and expenses calculate on agreed schedules and post after reviewer approval.

  5. Exceptions flagged

Unmatched cash, a price outside tolerance or a missing file is flagged and routed to an analyst with context.

  6. One NAV pack, one portal

P&L allocates to investors and classes, the NAV pack goes for sign-off, and investors see statements in the portal.

How the AI works

AI does the reading, matching and finding. Decisions stay with people.

  1. 01

    Read

Bank and broker statements, capital notices and investor documents that arrive as PDFs become validated data.

  2. 02

    Match

Cash, positions and trades are tied as data lands. Matched items clear; the rest become exceptions with context.

  3. 03

    Flag

The unusual is surfaced, aged and routed to the right analyst: a late confirm, a stale price, a missing file.

  4. 04

    Review

An analyst resolves the exception and a checker approves it. Nothing is released on one pair of eyes.

  5. 05

    Post

Balanced journals post to the ledger. Users, changes and approvals go to an audit trail your auditors can read.

  6. 06

    Never on its own

The AI prepares work for review. It does not post, pay or release anything by itself.

Security and controls

  • ISO 27001-certified information security management; ISO 9001 for quality
  • SOC 1 and SOC 2 attestations in progress
  • Role-based access: users see their own funds and nothing else
  • Maker-checker on postings, approvals and releases
  • Full audit trail of every flag, change and approval
  • AI runs inside the same controlled environment as the ledger

Delivered with our services, not sold as software

Our platform is not licensed on its own. It is what our teams use for fund administration and managed investment operations, so the people who configure it are the people who run your books, and there is no per-seat licence to pass on.

Where you prefer to keep your own systems, our middle office team works inside them instead.

Engagement model

How an engagement is structured

Economics aligned to your growth. Scope, cadence and pricing are confirmed jointly in the first phase.

  1. 01 · Weeks 1–4

    Onboarding & design

A phase-linked fee covers process mapping, the operational handbook, systems access and the SLA framework — before any handover.

    • Target operating model
    • Operational handbook
    • SLAs agreed jointly
  2. 02 · From the parallel run

    Monthly base fee

Your dedicated team, pod manager oversight and the governance cadence — daily huddle, weekly review, monthly service review, QBR.

    • Named PM → SME
    • Trained backup for every role
    • Governance included
  3. 03 · As you grow

    Scales with AUM

AUM-linked tiers and pre-agreed triggers for new mandates or counterparties — so growth never means renegotiating the contract.

Frequently asked questions

What technology does Fundtec run on?

Fundtec runs on its own proprietary platform, Tychi. It holds a double-entry ledger per fund, runs reconciliations and accruals against that ledger, produces the NAV pack and powers the investor portal, with AI that reads documents, matches data and flags exceptions for review.

Does the AI make decisions or post entries?

No. The AI reads, matches and flags. Fundtec’s accountants investigate exceptions, and a second person approves every material posting, payment or release. Every suggestion and approval is recorded on the audit trail.

How is our data secured?

The platform runs under Fundtec’s ISO 27001-certified information security management system, with SOC 1 and SOC 2 attestations in progress. Access is role-based, postings need maker-checker approval, and every change is logged.

Do we need to buy a licence?

No. The platform is included in fund administration and managed investment operations. There is no separate software licence and no per-seat cost.

Do we have to move onto Fundtec’s platform?

Not necessarily. Administration and managed investment operations run on our platform. If you want to keep your own systems, our middle office team works inside them instead.
